New before the Evolution Test: Bai Mei, Vulberry, and Iia's three factions
HoYoverse has been rolling out reveals ahead of the July 9 closed beta. Here's what's official so far, and the sign-up deadline you shouldn't miss.
Honkai: Nexus Anima's second closed beta, the Evolution Test, starts July 9, 2026, and HoYoverse has been revealing pieces of it through the run-up. Here's the official round-up, with links to the full pages on this site.
Recruitment closes July 3 (23:59 UTC+8). Access is free and handed out by lottery, so if you want to play, sign up before then. The how-to is on our Evolution Test page.
New characters
- Bai Mei, the current Novarch of Reality, chosen by the "Material Lip" election and groomed for the role since birth.
- Olympia, acting director of the True Nexus Syndicate's branch in Iia, and Otto, a crossover face from Honkai Impact 3rd. Both are on the Characters page, alongside returning names like Nanafey and Kiana.
New Anima
- Vulberry, a Satiation-type fox dappled with strawberry jam that fights by flinging cakes.
- Camcorgi, a Memory-type corgi that captures life through its camera lens.
The world is filling in
- Iia's three factions are now official: the Nexus Association (a rescue group that treats humans and Anima as equals), the True Nexus Syndicate (the "True Nexus mafia"), and the money-chasing Fleming Collective. We summarize each on the Story & World page.
- Anima Evolution is confirmed, with the line Inkifoal to Inkicorn to Atragasus shown off. Browse evolution lines on the Evolutions page.
